Surakshit Bachpan Diwas 2024

We celebrate Surakshit Bachpan Diwas every year to commemorate the birthday of our founder and Nobel Peace Laureate, Kailash Satyarthi. He has liberated more than 100,000 children from child labour, slavery, trafficking, and other forms of exploitation. Read more about Kailash Satyarthi here.

This year marked his 70th birthday, and below are the following updates:

Felicitated 338 people, including men, women, children, and senior citizens, in 7 states across 124+ Gram Panchayats for their commitment to bringing sustainable change in communities through their compassionate actions.

54 storytelling sessions were conducted with 7,677 participants to explain the difference between sympathy, empathy, and compassion through eccentric storytelling.

Health camps, quizzes, and sports activities took place in 7 states, reaching 15,700 people.
