Karuna: The Power of Compassion had a historic launch at the Jaipur Literature Festival on 17th January. The moment became truly special as Liberian Nobel Peace Laureate Leymah Gbowee officially launched the book.

The launch underscored the central idea of Karuna, that compassion is not a soft or passive emotion, but a transformative force capable of guiding society and systems.

Karuna is the essence of more than five decades of Kailash Satyarthi’s tireless efforts to give a voice to the most marginalized. The book presents compassion as a disciplined and transformative force, introducing a new and revolutionary concept —the Compassion Quotient™ (CQ) — which offers a practical framework to understand and enhance levels of compassion in individuals, institutions, and society.
