Youth Summit on Human Fraternity & Compassion

The inaugural Youth Summit on Human Fraternity & Compassion is a collaborative endeavour between the Satyarthi Movement for Global Compassion (SMGC) and the Zayed Awards for Human Fraternity (ZAHF). Scheduled to take place in Viratnagar, near Jaipur, from September 30 to October 2, 2023, this summit aspires to be a transformative gathering with a global impact.

About the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity

The Zayed Award for Human Fraternity is an independent global award that includes a monetary prize of USD $1 million. It is awarded annually on February 4th in conjunction with the UN-recognized International Day of Human Fraternity.

The award celebrates above all, those who build bridges and strengthen human connection; those leading by example, creating breakthroughs, or collaborating selflessly and tirelessly across divides to drive real, conviction-led progress; those who model to the world a gracious way of being and a way that chooses kindness, passion, courage, and a deep commitment to peaceful coexistence.

In an era rife with crises threatening the very fabric of our society, the Youth Summit on Human Fraternity & Compassion aims to become a leader in youth transformation. This summit is poised to bring together global thought leaders, pioneers of human fraternity, religious leaders, youth influencers, key decision-makers, and change agents. These diverse voices will engage in a spirited exchange of ideas to chart a path forward to healing a fractured world – guided by the tenets of the Document on Human Fraternity and the pressing need to globalize compassion.

SMGC is hosting the event- SMGC is a global movement ignited by the vision and tireless efforts of Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, a revolutionary social reformer with four decades of transformative work. Grounded in the philosophy of “Compassion in Action,” SMGC is committed to ‘Globalizing Compassion’. The core belief is that Compassion is the most powerful way to self-actualisation, rebuilding our shared humanity and ensuring a lasting and sustainable future for all.
